Day 11

Working with sun.
I'm loving natural light.
I love how the sun is peeking through the tree as I am taking the shot.

Day 9

Lightroom practice. I've been watching videos. I will never be a professional, but I am having fun. It's funny how subjective photo editing really is.

We're back to one of my favorites of Lil. I just changed up the background a little bit. Just practicing.

Okay - so I'm confused. On my Mac - the colors are soooooooooo much different (and I like them here) than when I pull up the exact same blog and edited pictures on my HP. Which one is correct?

Anyone?

Day 7

This is an old picture. I took this at my first camera class in February. We were learning how to:
1. Use natural light
2. Open the front door
3. Have the subject turn slightly to get some sun "shine"
4. Adjust F# to get some blurriness in the background.
5. Oh - and I like how the sun glare only shows on half of the face - but, if I had wanted I know that I could have used a flash to get rid of the shadow on the face. Or, have her turn her face a little more. I like the naturalness.....but art is subjective and not every will like that.

This picture really shows me that it doesn't really matter what is behind the subject - its just color and shapes. It could be picture frames, doorways, walls, or even toys - as long as the light is good and your settings are adjusted - it will turn out great. Well...that and your subject is cooperating.

Learning Lightroom 3

Well...I guess I like silhouette pictures. I was able to replicate them at Brady's game tonight. I also took a few more pictures and tried to play around with Lightroom to make some adjustments. Some I like...some I don't. What do you think?

Day 6

I went to another photography class. It was great. This cute husband and wife team living their dream with a full-time photography business. How awesome would that be??!!

I learned to take a silhouette picture...Now if only I can replicate that later! I really just took this quick, so not much was thought out beforehand.

I did use a little Lightroom on this...but, since I don't really know what I'm doing with photo editing - I just play around until I like it.
